LIFE IN SEATTLE . . .
While decisions about schools and housing are paramount, they are only two of many decisions you'll need to make as you re-establish your household in a new location. For example, you'll need to pick a bank, find health care providers, and identify the best places to shop for your daily needs. I am available to assist you with these and any other lifestyle aspects of your move, whether by phone, email or even a personal tour.
It is well known that one of the best ways to help your children adjust quickly is to have them get involved with a class, playgroup or sports team soon upon arrival. I have assisted families in finding everything from a French class for native speakers, to Irish dance classes, chess programs, summer camps, competitive swim team programs and music lessons. Whether you want information on playgrounds, toddler classes, youth athletic leagues or summer camps, I am happy to steer you in the right direction.
Of course, you want to adjust quickly and easily, too, and I am happy to assist you with whatever information matters to you most. Perhaps that means getting the low-down on the local food scene - from restaurants and coffee spots to grocery stores, farmers' markets and specialty markets. Perhaps it's better understanding the incredible array of local and regional activities at your disposal - from challenging mountain hikes to quiet beach walks; from snow skiing to water skiing; from boating to ballooning; from ballet and theater to the Seahawks and Sounders; the list goes on and on.
I have posted several articles on my blog highlighting various things to do around Seattle and encourage you to review at your leisure. Welcome to Seattle.
